November Roundup

November is done! What a month!

To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to say this month. Did November go by fast for anyone else? It feels like just yesterday I was cleaning up my pumpkins. And today, well I dealt with snow. After being snow-free for the whole month, it felt like a lot all at once!

But it reminded me that sometimes life is like that. That it feels like we are in a spot where a lot happens all at once after a period of quiet. Maybe it’s old symptoms reappearing or maybe it’s something external happening in your life. And instead of being swept away into the storm, can it just be a sign that we have to return inwards, back to inner work?

I had to remind myself of this this month. Some of my old anxiety and obsessive thinking patterns felt like their energy was encroaching peace. Couldn’t tell you why they were showing up, but I don’t think the “why” necessarily matters. In the old ways of the past, I would freak out - why is this coming in? What am I doing wrong? All alarms would be alerting to that something was wrong and that something wrong, well I would see it as myself. I would make myself in this vulnerable state enemy #1.

And the truth is, that is so unhelpful! It’s making ourselves hurt more. It’s kicking ourselves when we are down.

Instead, I hunkered down and got quiet. I sat with myself and my tea and just breathed. From here, I began to feel more centred. But make no mistake, a one and done quiet moment did not eradicate that anxious feeling! It was a recommitment to coming inwards, recognizing right now I need more quiet.

Things I loved this month

🌿 Taking Care of My Plants.

Caring for my plants brings me joy and plus, they are cute! Find a little photo of them below, just being their little unique plant selves.

🎶 Listening to Piano Music

Tim Janis’s music on Youtube is so beautiful! The backgrounds he creates with the piano music are gorgeous. It feels so calming.

☕️ Teas!

Trying different teas throughout the month has been fun! I think my favourite has been a ginger mint and a chocolate chai. Yum!

📕 Books

A reread of the Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. Soothing, freeing, and reminder to trust that intuition when it is telling us yes.

☃️ Vacation Notice

I'll be taking a break from December 22nd to January 1st to rest and recharge. During this time, I will be unplugging for some holiday downtime, so please touch base with me before then if you need anything. I’ll be back on January 2nd, refreshed and ready to connect!

Take good care and wishing you well,
